Why you will never see Judith Sloan and Miss Piggy in the same room

Judith Sloan is an economics major and a contributor over at the Cat and writes for Uncle Rupert’s loss making periodical The Australian. Most of her opinion strongly supports the born to rule club LNP and their interests while targeting union corruption and the Coke Labor Party. Don’t get me wrong I’m not taking sides here with either party in the system; to me they are both equally worthless and corrupt.
Even so I sometimes find myself agreeing with some opinions expressed by Judith however I believe there is a reason you wont ever see Judith and Miss Piggy in the same room. I’ll give you a clue it’s not because they don’t like each other.
Miss Piggy Ms Sloan not only performs the role of Uncle Rupert’s attack dog but is also an ideological gun for hire for the Lowy brothers, she being a board member for the Lowy Institute and also a Director for Westfield group (founded by Frank Lowy) who in the past have pulled off some fantastic feats of crony capitalism. It then comes as no surprise that Ms Sloan is a staunch proponent for negative gearing with repeated articles in the Australian howling down calls to pare back the tax offsetting mechanism.

Many of her arguments are straw man and weak at best and have been thoroughly debunked by Saul Eslake and Leith van Onselen I highly recommend you have a look you will be very surprised. Where Ms Sloan reveals her true colours is in person, I make it a point of avoiding most of ABC’s programing with the exception of River Monsters and Mad as Hell, I find most of it dross particularly it’s political coverage however an episode of QandA which aired on 7th of July 2014 caught my attention as it was touted as an ‘Economists special’ so I thought I would have a bit of a gander.

As usual the coverage of major issues was almost non-existent and that altruistic unbiased coverage was also absent however for the Lowy brothers I would have to say I think you are not getting bang for you buck when hiring someone who was by far the least articulate of any of the panelists, including Ross Garnaut who is 68 this year. Basically Judith’s rebuttals were, you are wrong because I say so with a condescending demeanour, while speaking over everyone else.
